Let me start by saying that there will be spoilers in this review so if you don't want to know, please stop reading. To so this review I feel I need to start from the first book. The first book was really good and caught my undivided attention. It had a promise of romance to come. So I moved on to the second book and it was good too although pretty much NO romance. There is an interest there but Mack the h pretty much pushes Corrigan way at every turn with her stubbornness. So I thought okay surely book 3 they will finally get together! Uh not so much and it just gets worse. Mack becomes ridiculously stubborn and quite frankly just nasty and mean. I can't think why anyone would want to befriend her. But ever hopeful for the 4th book, I read on and was once again DISAPPOINTED. They finally (!) Get together at the very end in a rushed and very unromantic way only to have Mack once again ruin it for a pretty ridiculous reason. In books 3 through 5 Mack just becomes more and more mean, short sighted, sarcastic and rude. She tells and curses at pretty much every one believing she is always right and everyone should do what she says. It's very unfortunate that the author does, in fact, make all the other characters follow her lead. While I know we suspend reality to enjoy these books, it just so unrealistic for all these super powerful characters to only listen to her while she talks down to them, humiliated them, threatens to hurt them and ultimately gets quite a few of her so called friends killed. Corrigan saves her time and time again and she relays him by yelling at him and running away without thanking him. He chases her thoughout the ENTIRE series and I just got tired of it and I just cannot figure out why. She is a total shrew. It was just stupid. The end of book 5 is the only time we actually see them together because oh wait......uep she pregnant and they are suddenly in love and the disappear together to live happily ever after. Uh what?! There is no real build up. So despite the series starting off good it quickly went downhill and was completely unsatisfying. I have a feeling this author has the same style with all of her "feisty female characters." Therefore I won't be reading any more if her books. They became an exercise in frustration.

Bloodlust Blood Destiny Book 5 eBook Helen Harper Reviews

I loved the first book. Absolutely and truly. It made me continue reading on, but each book after it was a disappointment. There was too much dragging on in the plot and I'd really hoped that the last book would help redeem them. The ending, as another reviewer had said, was extremely rushed and left me unsatisfied. The series had potential, but it simply missed. I would recommend the first book but say not to waste any money on the other ones.
Fitting end for a good series. This was a paranormal romance with a nice twist to the other worldly creatures. The characters were well developed from the first four books and the story tell is good enough to gently invite you into the world she has created. The plot twists nicely but not in ways that shakes the suspension of belief necessary for this genre to work.
Finished this series. Wow! What an adventure and ending. There were surprises and sad moments. Yes. A four, I did find the main character, annoying, but the good writing engrossed me to keep reading. 👍
Well I very much enjoyed this series, considering my not so attentive beginnings with book 1 Bloodfire.

The characters were endearing and all fabulously different. The story line really held my attention and I got my happily ever after. Happy me!
I chose to wait until i read all the books in this Series to give my two bits I have to say I was very surprised and I loved every word and every page of it the story was compelling even though I had a hard time liking Mackenzie but all of the characters were well-written and I had a lot of fun reading this series .
What can I say, I really enjoyed the series! As for Bloodlust, the story was good. I would have like to see a bit more relationship development between Mack and Corrigan, but it wrapped up nicely at the end, if a little contrived.
I can say that the characters, world building, and the book arc plots were the series strong points and they were quite good. I certainly had a good time reading the series.

I love happy endings! I love this series and am so glad that I came across it! I not normally a shifter lover but this series will probably change my mind about them. I love Mack's strength and Corrigan's love. I love the worlds that the author managed to create and then successfully blend and still find a way to give my characters the life that they deserved. Thank you for writing this! It's not often that I find a book that not only keeps its promises for action but also stays the course for its storyline and still manages to give their characters hope for the future without making everything like a teenage love story gone wrong. Keep up the good work!
